Brighton and Hove. May 9

Today we headed by train to Brighton. It was a quick trip, about an hour. When we arrived it was pouring with rain, which seems to be a pattern for us. It took about an hour for the rain to subside but the wind was insane. The worst ever. We went to a cute cupcake shop for a quick snack and then went down to the famous Brighton pier to try and avoid the rain, but it was actually like a crazy games/gambling hall and we ended up braving the weather to head over to the local shopping centre.

We emerged from the shopping centre to clear sky's and vague sunshine, but still awful wind. So we headed to the cute laneways to explore and take it all in.

After this we decided to walk along the pier and beach and experience Brighton's stoney beach. So basically we walked to Hove along the path above the beach and in the process got covered in salt and nearly lost all of our hair to the wind. And also saw so many dogs. At one point we sat in a park and just watched owners and their dogs and noticed how they matched each other.

Thank God for modern architecture

We decided to return to London a bit earlier than planned and were pretty glad to escape the crazy wind and ridiculous amount of Hens parties (apparently they all go to Brighton).

Both of us were in awe of all the amazing houses and again were imagining ourselves living in them all. Hopefully Brighton isn't always windy?

Lots of love A&E.
