National Gallery, Tate Britain & Buckingham Palace. May 7

So today we started at the National Gallery which looks over Trafalgar Square. It was our first day of sun, although not quite warmth yet. The gallery was massive and as per usual, we ran out of time, but what we did see was amazing. With famous Leonardo, Botticelli, Van Gogh, Monet's and other well known artworks, the gallery was more than we had anticipated.

Walking to Trafalgar with much excitement

Later we headed to Tate Britain, which was in a beautifully designed building on the Thames. Again, the artworks were great, displaying various eras and styles of British art. They also had a whole part of the gallery dedicated to Turner and a few Bacons which made Elise pretty excited.

After the Tate we walked up to Buckingham Palace to take a look at the gold sparkly bits in the sunshine. Ash was also v disappointed that she couldn't poke the faces of any royal guards. We sat at the fountain for a while embracing the sun and then headed down the Mall back to Trafalgar. Where we found many Tardis'. (For you Meine)*

We went home and after dinner we went out for cocktails around the corner from the apartment in Shoreditch. It was very tasty.

Love A&E

*So we later realised that these did not in fact resemble a Tardis and we apologise.
