Today we spent the morning relaxing in the hotel. We did some catching up on things and then eventually made our way to lunch on a nearby restaurant called ‘L-Etoile Centrale’ where we were super happy to eat some proper Moroccan couscous. It was here we also realised that you get free olives and bread with every meal, which was obviously a dream come true for us. We stayed there until about 4pm and then went back to our hotel so we could meet our tour leader and group at 6pm.

So Moroccan |
We met in a small room off the foyer of our hotel, and were introduced to Khaled, our 33 year old, seemingly serious and super fash dressed guide. We also met our all female, mostly Australian group, which consisted of two basic age groups; the 50-65 year old ladies Maree, Rachel, Lorna, Annabel, Kim, Jenny and Kris, and the 20-somethings, Erin(British), Sam, Phoebe and ourselves.
We all went out to dinner to a large restaurant and sat on a table with Sam, Phoebe and our very quiet guide, and got to know the girls a bit more. Sam is a resident doctor and Phoebe is a business analyst for Allianz, and both super lovely. After dinner our guide suggested we go to Ricks’s Bar, the bar in which the film Casablanca is set. We all agreed and got a great table in a side bar and got a cocktail each, while we got to know each other better. Unfortunately, as we were discussing the fact that we best soak in the whole room, so that we could watch the film later, we were told that it’s just a bar named after the one in the film and we were all confused as to why it was such a big deal after all. The drinks were tasty though, and the company was friendly! We walked home from the bar (or at least half of us did), and made our way to bed.
