This morning we slept in pretty late and ended up leaving for Glasgow at around midday. Once more we caught the train and got there in about 45 mins. It was actually very sunny and not too cold when we arrived so we absorbed the sun in the main square and hung out with our lion pals. We strolled up to the Glasgow school of art, Elise really wanted to check it out but sadly it had recently been partly gutted by fire and was under repair, so we couldn't go in or even see the facade.

What we could see of The Glasgow School of Art |
On our first highland tour (Friday) we actually passed the cathedral here and saw a tardis (A REAL ONE THIS TIME) and we needed to go back and find it. So we headed to the cathedral where we saw it was near, which itself was impressive. It was huge, with a really cool green tiled roof and inside was pretty understated for cathedrals but nonetheless amazing. We were lucky enough to visit during the choir rehearsal and after exploring the cathedral we sat down and enjoyed listening to them practise.
Leaving the cathedral we realised it was icy. Like maybe the coldest we'd felt on the whole trip. We wanted to go to the Necropolis (a.k.a. Nick Kroppolis), this hillside graveyard above the cathedral, but couldn't be there too long because we were yet again ice blocks. It did however provide a great view of the cathedral and also had many tomb stones that were either sunk into the ground or completely fallen over.

Too sleepy. Too much hill |
We had to take cover in a coffee shop for some rest (the previous day aka the best day ever, lead to us being sooooooo tired) and warmth. Beforehand, however, we found the tardis! Ash was v excited and it was actually huge inside, proving it was the real deal. Dinner came early in the form of Jamie's Italian, our fave, which was delish as always. We got the train back and slept in preparation for our second highland tour the next day!
