This morning we had a big sleep-in and watched some shows in bed. Because that is how you start to do travel after 2 months, you literally need to do nothing sometimes, okay?
So eventually we made it to Happy Asia once more, as we had promised ourselves and had tasty lunch while getting updates from Andrew and Jeanette, as they had landed and were in the airport! When we were all done, we had got the okay from them to make our way to the boat to see them! Hooray!!!
We made our way to the docks behind and along the back of the central station, and found the dock where we could find their boat. We waited for them outside the ramp and then suddenly there their pale, winter faces were! (Sorry, not sorry). We had a joyful reunion and chatted, organising what we would do once they had had a chance to settle in. As we were about to split up for a couple of hours, Elise couldn’t help but ask if we could go aboard to have a sneaky look, so Andrew checked and before we knew it, we had official Visitor lanyards!
So they’re super fancy. The crew welcomed us as we walked from the swish foyer into the front dining/bar room. AMAZING. SO FANCE. Unlimited drinks from the bar! What a dream!
We saw their room and the ‘high class’ restaurant at the other end of the boat, and then they took us upstairs! Upstairs was pretty good, all lounge chairs and mini running tracks. They also had bikes they could use! Whaaaaaat, so good!

Anyway, we left them to settle in and we headed for the shopping street so that Elise, now equipped with a receipt for her falling apart bag, could finally go swap it for a fresh one! The shop people were super kind by the way!
We walked to go book dinner at an Italian restaurant we had heard about and got ice-cream from a Nutella store (?so weird?) on the way. Quite tasty!
We met Jeanette and Andrew again at the main station and then we all took the tram to the restaurant. Even though A&J were super exhausted, we had a super nice dinner and many chats, trying to squeeze a lot of information into a short space of time. On our way back to the metro station, we took a short walk to have a look at the nearby canal and walked along it for a little while. We split at the platform, taking our trains in opposite directions.
