Paris. July 2

Today was too darn hot. We slept in until the mezzanine got too stuffy and then sat and watched Orange is the New Black for a while. Meanwhile, Ash’s phone wasn’t working, and after trying her ‘turn on and off while plugged in’ trick a few times, we realised that her old and worn i-phone 4 had finally given up on life. With all her notes, music and photos trapped inside.
We decided to go to the Apple store we had seen yesterday in the Louvre to try and get an appointment to get it fixed.  So we ventured out of a dark, cooler-than-outside cave and back to the busiest place in Paris. Once at the store we were told we had to wait 2 hours, which by the way, would be 6pm. Yes. We really took it easy this morning/ early afternoon. While waiting for the appointment, we did a classic us and got McFlurries to pass the time.
Eventually, back at the store we finally sat down with our ‘genius’. After giving him the phone he came back 5 minutes later and told us he ‘tried, but it didn’t turn on’. So with that settled, we went back down from the genius bar, to the store and Ash bought herself a flash new iphone 6! And although it really sucked that her other one died, at least it was a pretty great replacement!

On the way home we picked up some burgers and chips from a 50’s style diner (so weird) and took them home to eat while watching more OITNB.
What a day!
