Budapest. August 9

Today we had a wander around the design market, which was pretty fun, although we couldn’t stay too long because of the sun.
In the afternoon, we had intended to hire bikes and ride around Margaret Island, but today was one of the hottest yet and we realised it would be crazy to attempt anything more physical than walking from one spot of shade to another. So, in the way we avoided the cold and wet in York, we avoided the heat in Budapest. We went to the cinema. This was a good choice as we realised the only way to cope with heat, is to be able to have at least a few hours a day of relief. We saw Paper Towns, which was in English, so a good choice too.
We took the train back to our area, Lipótváros, and bought some falafel and hummus pitas from Hummus Bar to take to the park for an early dinner. These were messy but also delicioso. After dinner and some time at the apartment, we headed out to Szimpla as Ash hadn't been yet, and it was pretty good! It was a lot busier than the other times Elise had been, so after a couple of hours it got super stuffy and we left.

Lots of love,
A&E
