Berlin. July 24

It was our second last day in Berlin and we were pretty sad to leave, we have loved it soooo much. We actually got up at a reasonable time for a change and headed to meet Kaylin along the canal again to go to a Turkish market, which sold fresh produce and Turkish tasties, dips, breads and the like. We're sure you can imagine how amazing it was. We wandered through the entire market before deciding to get some things for our train the next day to Prague. We got a huge flat bread and two types of dip, a feta and Eggplant one and a spicy feta one. Along with 2 peaches for later and a gozleme each to devour right then. Which we did because they were the best we'd ever had. The pastry was so flaky and amazing and the filling was beyond, so so good. We sat near the canal and listened to buskers play to an audience, enjoying the beautiful day, the weather was so lovely. Kaylin then took us to the cafe she works at, where we all got coffee before her shift started. She then had to start work and and we left shortly after, strolling back to our place.

This is where the life dream begins. We got Ash's blanket (which has been such a handy picnic rug) and some cushions and headed to our local park for a nap in the sun. We were there for a few hours, just sleeping in the sun. Can you believe our lives? We can't! After our nap we dropped off our blankets and cushions at home to go grocery shopping because our new friend Eddie was coming over for vegetables for dinner. On our way we got a little distracted by the fact that we'd been in Germany for more than two weeks and hadn't had Currywurst. SO WRONG OF US. So we got some from a stall in the main square near our house. Following this delight, yes actually very tasty, 8/8 would rate, we were about to get the groceries before we realised we also hadn't had Kartoffelpuffer! What! How could we! So we got one of them too, and devoured the delicious potato pancake.

Kartoffelpuffer

Finally we got our groceries and we headed home when we realised it was our local McDonald's 20th birthday. They had denied us Mc flurries twice but we were willing to forgive on this special occasion, and got a mcflurry each. It was so good and worth the wait, nearly.

Later Eddie came over and we had stir fry entirely of greens, it was the best. Eddie also taught us how to make mojitos, because he is a pro, and we are now skilled at this too. It was a dream. They both forced Ash to finally watch Pulp Fiction (happy Mikey?) and she would give it a 3.5/5. Decent.

Looking forward to making you all mojitos with your Moroccan feasts when we return,
Love A&E
