Today was the day we ventured to the baths, firstly in an attempt to cool ourselves after yet another sweaty night, and also to see why everyone loves these thermal baths. We decided to go to the most famous ones, Szechenyi baths. We caught the metro to the baths which are in this giant park in Pest. Basically, we spent the better part of the day lazing in the cooler and biggest bath, outside in the sunshine. It was such a reprieve from the heat. We sampled most of the other little baths, with the complex having about 30 baths! Some were incredibly hot, healing baths of about 38 degrees and others more like normal pool temperature. There was a cafeteria there too so basically we could spend the whole day avoiding the heat.
After coming home and reheating all over again, we went out to the Jewish quarter not too far from our place to the ruin bar/restaurant Mazel Tov, where we had tasty cocktails and delish Middle Eastern food for our last night in Budapest. We walked home, still hot can we add, and enjoyed the last night feels. We had to pack and get ready for leaving the next morning.
We loveeeeddd this city so much and both hope to return soon!
Love,
A&E
