Prague. August 2

Today we took the train back over to the other side of the river and climbed the steps to the castle complex in search of owls. Andrew and Jeanette had been wandering around a few days earlier and had stumbled across a small lawn area where people could choose to hold whichever owl or eagle they liked. So, of course, Elise needed to try this.
Eventually we found the place and after waiting in line for a little while Elise held the barn owl. SUPER AMAZING. It was very light and very lovely and very soft.

After the owl times we took more of a wander around the gardens and then down the hill to walk along the river for a while. We had a look at the John Lennon wall, found some really creepy and great baby sculptures, and then followed some live music over the bridge to one of the islands in the river, where we spent some time looking around a craft market there.

Nope

We walked back through the city to Prague 2, got gelato and ate it in the sun in the square. We wanted an easy dinner again so got ourselves another pizza and ate it back at home.

Lots of love,
A&E
