Cappadocia (Goreme). October 6

So the over night bus is pretty rough. The bus is nice enough, but the experience isn’t super fun. Many, many hours of numb bums and stopping every one to two hours at road stops makes it impossible to sleep. Eventually we got to a bus station on the edge of the Cappadocia region and had to wait for a while before getting another bus to the town Goreme, where we would be staying. We saw some balloons in the distance which was pretty cool.
The man at the info desk called our hotel for us, and it turns out that the man who runs the front desk also has a taxi, so handy! We left our bags there, but because it was 8am, we had to wait to check in until 11.30. We walked back down to the mains street and got breakfast at a café the man suggested to us and sat there for a pretty long time.

When we got back, they had finished preparing our room and we checked in, had showers and Ash napped while Elise chatted to friends and family.
We didn’t make it very far, and chilled out mostly.

For dinner we went to a restaurant we looked up and had a super delicious dinner of shaved kebab chicken and a beef clay pot. The clay pot is super cool, they break the lid off in front of you and it’s very exciting.
