Manarola to Rome. August 28

We left our lovely seaside town today for the capital, Rome. Luckily we had had a pretty relaxing time in Manarola because we had so much to do in Rome in so little time! Arriving in Rome we caught the metro to our new apartment and met an employee of the host, to show us around. The place was pretty small but adequate for our quick time there. Also. Also also. IT WAS IN THE BEST LOCATION EVA. Srsly guys. Next to the Roman Forum. Literally down the street from the Colosseum. What?! But yes. Convenient we'd say. We actually did a naughty and went to Indian for dinner on our first night in Rome. I mean, we've been eating a lot of Italian, we need our old pal back. We were actually the only people in the whole restaurant which would normally be worrying but TripAdvisor advised us that this was the best Indian so we didn't fear. And of course, it was amazing. And the staff loved us because we were their only customers, giving us free Indian liqueur at the end!

Back at our apartment we planned the rest of our time in Rome because our trip fell on a Sunday so we needed to avoid going to the Vatican on that day. Otherwise we had a pretty quiet night!
