After finishing our vast spread of food, we caught a shuttle bus to Oludeniz beach, which is about 3km from where our accommodation is, but very easy to get to. Arriving we walked along the main promenade where the many many paragliders land after their descent from the mountain above. They land so frequently that you can't really walk on the promenade at all, every 30 seconds it would seem there is someone landing, so crazy!
We came with the intention of going to the famous Blue Lagoon, where we had earlier looked in on from the boat. We had to pay a small entry fee to get into the area and then for sunbeds. We got a prime spot right near the water front where we basically lay all day, reading books we'd borrowed from the hotel. It was so idyllic. Elise swam right out to rocks where our boat and others parked to get into the Lagoon. She saw some cool tropical fish here and sat for a while there. Ash was too lazy and spent the day enthralled in a book, not putting it down the whole day.
Imagine that boat was ours |
Later we left and went to a restaurant with a terrace over the promenade and watched the sun set and all the paragliders come into land. It was really really nice. We caught a shuttle back to the main town of Oludeniz and again packed for another travel day tomorrow.
Love,
A&E
